WhoMadeWho — Kiss & Forget Album Film
Creative Direction, Creative Production & Brief, On-Set Direction, Editing & Post
I was invited by WhoMadeWho to pitch the creative concept for their new album Kiss & Forget. My idea — to create a cinematic, emotionally driven film told across 12 interconnected chapters — was selected and developed into the official visual album.
Over several months, I led the full creative process: shaping the brief, directing multiple episodes, and overseeing editing and post-production. We shot across Berlin, Copenhagen, and Portugal, building a visual world that evolves with the tone of the music — intimate, surreal, and charged with movement.
The film is now the official visual identity for Kiss & Forget — rolling out alongside the album and the band’s international tour.
Kiss & Forget is a 12-part album film exploring the emotional lives of young adults as they break from their pasts in search of identity and belonging. Each chapter follows a group of friends navigating love, conflict, and transformation — a coming-of-age story told through parallel timelines in Berlin and Copenhagen.
Through these episodes, community is revealed not as a perfect haven, but as a fragile, evolving support system — both a stage for tension and a space for healing. The film weaves personal longing with collective energy, offering a visual and emotional arc that moves from fragmentation to reconnection.
The full Kiss & Forget album film was produced over 14 intense shoot days split between Copenhagen and Berlin.
With a crew of over 30 people, the project combined fast-moving location shoots — often with daily changes — with two major studio builds and multiple indoor setups. Every scene was tailored to its environment, from live performance rafts to surrealist dream sequences in abandoned towers. The entire series premiered at Studio 11.11 and was later screened across WhoMadeWho’s 2024–25 world tour.
As the lead Creative Director, On-Set Director, and Editor, I oversaw everything from casting and location scouting to on-set direction and post-production. The project involved rapid rewrites, real-time reblocking, and fully self-managed logistics. Working without a traditional producer, our team handled high-risk sequences like night exteriors, moving vehicle shots, and emotionally complex scenes — all on tight turnarounds.
This was more than a collection of music videos — it became a visual album and cohesive narrative piece, capturing an emotional story arc that mirrored the sonic journey of Kiss & Forget.
